Abstract

The study deals with the question of transformation of public attitudes face to the crime of infanticide (murder of new-born baby by its mother) in the enlightened Habsbourg monarchy and France (comparison), and this mainly on the basis of legal norms, judicial court records and medical treatises as sources.
