The adapted text of the original Czech version of Glossary of the Czech Avant-Garde is the first complex attempt to cover coherently the Czech avant-garde theory and practice of the first half of the 20th century via broad analytical entries that cover general concepts productive in this field. This book has an international scholar as its modelled reader.
That is why it tends to refer, if possible, to sources that are intenationally available and that are shared within such a cultural encyclopedia. It should introduce Czech avant-garde theory and practice in its complexity and a form that is not contextually bounded or restricted by the local language aspect.
