Abstract
The article focuses on the Czech translations of the Latin homonym sagina and its derivatives in Latin-Czech dictionaries from the 15th century. The thorough analysis of the Latin a Old Czech words and the specific Latin-Czech dictionary is necessary to prevent an inappropriate interpretation of the word meaning (eg sádlník) or an erroneous reconstruction of form of Old Czech word (eg savnieř).
