"Dog burials" on settlements of the Roman Age Period in Bohemia: current state of research

Abstract

The artcile is focused on teh question of teh so-called "dog burials" in the Roman Age Period. This phenomenon is typical for Germanic settlements from the Netherlands in the west to Romania in teh east.

The present project is based on collecting all available osteological and documentation material in Bohemia. Including proposals on the future biological analysis, all the data obtained will help us to understand reasons and manners of burying dogs on germanic settlements in Roman Age Period.
