Abstract
There is an important relationship between the degree of DNA methylation and gene activity in cancer. Number of techniques of DNA methylation analysis has been reported.
The aim of this study was to review methodologies that can be used to monitoring of DNA methylation changes. We reviewed techniques important for monitoring of DNA methylation changes of CpG islands in gene promoter regions.
Advantages, disadvantages and potential use of these techniques are discribed.
