The 60's mean something regarding history, scholarly approach and approach to history. Their meaning emerges from approach to meaning, which did change in the 60's and the 60's are therefore a sign of change specifically in connection with the name of Michel Foucault.

Simultaneously the 60's mean a change of different type regarding the name of Czechoslovakia. Purpose of this article is approaching the problem of this difference as a problem of contemporary approach to the philosophy of history and of historical research on the basis of Michel Foucault method reception in Czechoslovakia in the form of Jan Patočka review and outlining a framework of different conditions of thought in two philosophical discourses.
