New media technologies influenced various forms and transformed contemporary poetic genres. The unconventional play with language allowed by new media brought us different kinds of electronic/digital poetry within the framework of electronic literature.

Digital poetry arises there, where the technology and poems intermingle while using the variety found in multimedia texts. It relies on the features and possibilities of new media technologies such as interactivity, interface, hypertextuality, modularity, variability to name a few.

The crucial questions are as follows: What do readers think of it? Is the way poetry is articulated via new media technologies enriching or rather confusing readers? The paper intends to present partial results of Kohutová''s ongoing Ph.D. qualitative research on readers'' perception of electronic literature, with a particular focus on Stephanie Strickland''s poetic work V, presented as a combination of print and online works - V: WaveSon.nets/Losing L''una and V: Vniverse.
