Article accompanying the Czech translation of Minkowski''s book Towards a Cosmology (Vers une cosmologie). It presents the basic dates about the life and work of Eugene Minkowski.

It details phenomenological aspects of his work and considers it in the wider frame of the phenomenological thinking in philosophy and psychology.
