Utilization of Unmodified Screen-Printed Carbon Electrodes in Electroanalysis of Organic Compounds (An Overview)

Publication at Faculty of Science |
2011

Abstract

This review summarizes basic characteristics of screen-printed carbon-based electrodes and their applications in electroanalysis of organic compounds. Mainly, it is devoted to unmodified, the bare screen-printed carbon electrodes designed for batch voltammetry and amperometric detection in the flowing streams.

The varieties in the construction, surface pretreatment, and compatibility with modern electroanalysis are presented and their advantages and drawbacks, possibilities and limitations discussed.
