Abstract
In this pilot study, a new type of flow tubular amperometric detector based on silver solid amalgam was introduced. The tubular cell was tested under flow injection analysis for determination of 4-nitrophenol in aqueous solutions.
The first results show that this type of detector provides high-quality signals of 4-nitrophenol. However, there are some problems with repeatability of signals caused probably of high sensitivity due to the presence of oxygen, which we shall try remove in further research research.
