Abstract

Time resolved phase modulation confocal microspectrofluorimetry has been used in combination with the fluorescence imaging to monitore cathionic porphyrin assisted transport of the labeled therapeutic oligonucleotide into the living cells. It has been possible to monitor the transport complex stability in the intracellular environment and the interaction of transported oligonucleotide with the target molecular structures in the cellular nucleus.
