The importance of the legal theory for the teaching of canon law (with a focus on legal principles)

Abstract

Even canon law in the classroom (and even more in the application) can not do without a general theory of law. A special place here seems the legal principles which partly complement, partly intertwined normative legislation and serves as perhaps the most equitable application of law especially in complicated legal cases (in English called "hard cases").
