This article attempts to describe the Czech translation counterparts of the Italian verbs formed by means of the prefix ri-. The study starts out from the observation that in Czech, the general meaning of "repetition" is not typically conveyed by a corresponding prefix.
The aim of the article is thus to draw a typology of translation solutions of these prefixed verbs. The empirical basis is constituted by the Italian-Czech parallel corpus which is part of the larger InterCorp project.
