Abstract
The CALICE collaboration is studying the design of high performance electromagnetic and hadronic calorimeters for future International Linear Collider detectors.For the hadronic calorimete, a prototype has been built, consisting of thirty-eight sensitive layers, segmented into about eight thousand channels.
