Abstrakt
This modern English textbook with an extensive English to Czech commented glossary that includes also grammar and lexical commentary of important issues, was created especially for deaf and hard of hearing students, and is closely connected with the English reader published by LRC in 2010. The goal of this textbook is primarily to develop students' logical and operative way of thinking in a foreign language with the help of creating mind and concept maps that allow students to get oriented in English text as well as to summarize and retell it correctly.
Students have a great variety of exercises to choose from in order to improve their English reading and writing skills, starting from writing short basic summaries up to composing creative essays on famous quotations and composing their own stories.
