Abstract

Human body has always been, is now and always will be a symbol of its time. Understanding body and its aesthetics reveals not only a lot of information about the particular culture in terms of perceiving beauty, but it also discloses understanding of the soul of man and many other factors which reveal the true essence of the particular society.

In this article I would like to touch upon a few subjects, which are related (at least I believe so) with corporeality; these topics include health, beauty, EMO lifestyle and ordinary versus virtual reality. As these issues are very complex and they change relatively slowly in time I propose to "use" school environment, principles of experiential education and educational approach of Martin Buber to draw students or pupils into the I-Thou relationship.

Accepting oneself (in their own physical body) is one of the conditions to entering the I-Thou relationship which opens the door to embracing the world (life and its meaning) and thus accepting the responsibility for this world.
