Abstract
The work of Otokar Chlup is wide not only because of the number of publications but also the scope of the problems he focused on, such as pedagogy, psychology and history of pedagogy. Otokar Chlup's major concern was not only psychology of school children but he also dealt with kindergarten, high school and university education questions, e.g. university education for teachers, mother tongue acquisition, physical education etc.
He wrote on aesthetics education, he taught in a primary school, high school and university. Last but not least, he published papers on school organization and management, research in pedagogy and he was active in Czechoslovak Academy of Science
