The co-occurrence and morphological continuum between ericoid mycorrhiza and dark septate endophytes in roots of six European Rhododendron species

Abstrakt

We report co-occurrence of ericoid mycorrhizas symbiosis and association formed by dark septate endophytes in roots of six native European rhododendrons. Some DS fungi apparently have the ability to form ericoid mycorrhiza.
