Contribution of exhaled nitric oxide measurement for asthma management

Abstract

The concentration of nitric oxide in the exhaled breath (FeNO) reflects the intensity of eosinophilic inflammation in the lower airways in patients with bronchial asthma. The test for FeNO is highly reproducible, noninvasive, simple and safe.
