Team cohesion and team success in sport

Abstract

The main aim of this quantitative study is to examine the relationship between team cohesion and team success in youth sport teams. Research sample will be elite youth handball teams (n=16) and soccer teams (n=12) from Czech and Slovak Republic.

Teams will assess for cohesiveness and winning percentages. Measures will record three times during the one competitive season.

The results will bring new knowledge about this issues in the field of sports psychology. Particular, they will demonstrate what is a relationship between a team cohesion and team success in the youth sport.
