Sabaloka and the Sixth Nile Cataract in Sudan: Changes in Space and Time

Abstract

The exhibition presents the objectives, scientific tasks, and achieved results in the geoarchaeological research performed by the multidisciplinary expedition of the Czech Institute of Egyptology (Faulty of Arts, Charles University in Prague) and the Institute of Geology (Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in Prague) in the area of Sabaloka mountains and the Sixth Nile Cataract in Sudan. It also presents the principal periods of history of Sudan and unveils the contemporary face of this north-east African country.
