Good Research into Education - Using a Microscope or a Thermometer?

Abstract

Based on the example of the research in bullying, the paper demonstrates the difference between the empirical notion and the (theoretical) concept. The difference is related to the research called "approach by microscope" vs. "by thermometre" (Vygotski during the 1920).
