The article deals with two contemporary prosaic works that each reflects on question of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army: Oksana Zabuzhko''s family saga Muzei pokynutykh sekretiv (The Museum of Abandoned Secrets) and Mariia Matios''s novel-drama Solodka Darusia (Sweet Darusia). The text studies differences in treating the topic.
It analyzes Zabuzhko''s distinct constructivist approach and compares it with spontaneity of Matios'' novel. It examines their different ideological background, centralization-decentralization and the category of polyphony and monophony, expressed emotionality, philsophical subtext and a type of auctorial voice.
