Evaluation of mental load with use of salivary biomarkers - the methodological aspects

Abstract

Review article deals with the use of the determination of stress hormones (cortisol and α-amylase) for the validation of occupational stress. It describes the advantages of setting these hormones in saliva in field practice and saliva sampling methodology with regard to the diurnal rhythm of both hormones.
