Constructivist approach in teaching nomenclature of organic chemistry

Abstract

There is a new educational approach to education of the subject matter of organic chemistry - nomenclature described in this article. A comparison of a traditional and a progressive approach was carried out.

On the basis of the theoretical educational and psychological knowledge a technique was developed for guiding pupils through the subject matter of organic chemistry, making a summary of ground rules in order to name organic chemistry compounds.
