Abstract
The dictionary is based on primary English, Czech and German sport-related sources offering a large database of terms relating to sports, sports training and other related sciences. The three-language section includes approximately 2000 main entries, with more than 750 sub-entries.
The selection of the terms was carried out in cooperation with experts in the field, taking into account their frequency of usage and the practical needs of users. The dictionary is a comprehensive reference especially for students and teachers of physical education and sport, as well as those who come in contact with foreign exercise science literary sources.
The publication represents an open system requiring continuous updating.
