Abstract

The authors define the concept of marginal group and deal about the negativity which frequently accompanies "the marginals" in relationship with majority population in the first part of the article. The text treats topics such as tolerance, prejudice and discrimination, and it highlights importance of education in attempts to stabilize uneven relationships.

The second part of the article is dedicated to characterisation of police educational activities concerning the topics with focus on the Centre for Human Rights of the Police College of the Ministry of the Interior in Prague.
