Abstract
Number of implantation of large joints is constantly increasing and a growing number of patients in the early postoperative period is transferred to the care practitioner. We are trying to prevent consistently serious complications that can lead to failure of the operation results, in extreme cases even to death.
One of the most serious complication is the development of thromboembolic disease.Recently this issue paid great interdisciplanary attention. Objective of this communication is to summarize the latest knowledge in this area.
