Abstract
The article deals with problems of the current Czech interest in Sorbian demonstrated on a Sorabistic article in a prestigious Czech publication. The core of the article is constituted by critical comments on the sorabistic article (Peter Kosta: Problém jazykových menšin v Radě Evropy - mezi ochranou, revitalizací a jazykovým útlakem (na příkladě Lužických Srbů v Německu) [The Problem of Language Minorities in the European Parliament - between Protection, Revitalization and Language Oppression (the Example of the Sorbs/Wends in Germany)] that has recently been published in the prestigious Czech linguistic publication (Marie Krčmová a kolektiv, Integrace v jazycích - jazyky v integraci, Praha: Lidové noviny, 2010).
J. Bartoň refers to a lot of inconsistencies and errors in the author's approach to the topics (e.g. in treating Sorbian, German and Czech language forms of the names of ethnic groups, localities, institutions and persons as well as in the factual content).
