The Child and His Perception of Illness - Pilot Test Using Questionnaire CIPQ

Abstract

Researchies of child''s perception of illness are a little numerous in the world, in the Czech republic are very rare. Study presents the questionnaire CIPQ (Walker et al., 2006) that inquires child''s perception of illness and describes pilot certification of Czech version CIPQ in the set of 40 children at the age 5-18 years (20 boys and 20 girls).

In the category of the chronic illness total score was more positivefor girls than for boys contrasting to the category of the acute illness where it was better for boys.
