Patients'' Perception of Illness- Possibilities of Interference and Contribution to Nursing Practice

Abstract
Study summarizes clinical experience with the routine application of the Czech shortened version of the questionnaire IPQ-R-CZ Brief (Revised-Illness Perception Questionnaire- Brief) in the set of 103 patients with diagnoses such as myocardial infarction, angina pectoris, atherosclerotic disease, valvular disorders, and thrombosis of lower extremities. The experience of nurses with the abridged version is encouraging - the questionnaire is a useful tool for the completion of patients'' nursing case history and a guide for the individualization of the educational process for particular patients.
