Background: The 14-3-3 protein binds to and regulates the function of the regulator of G protein signaling 3 (RGS3). Results: The 14-3-3 binding affects the structure of the Gα interaction portion of RGS3.
Conclusion: The 14-3-3 protein blocks the interaction between the RGS3 and the G α. Significance: This might explain the inhibitory function of 14-3-3 in the regulation of RGS3.
