Abstract
Schooling brings a specific structure into the lives of students and their families and thus it influences the communication between students and their parents. The paper is focused on information referring to schooling which students share with their parents.
It is based on the interviews with 16 pupils and the survey which includes questionnaires for 424 participants. The results show that students distinguish three types of information about school which differ by topic and parents' claim to know about it.
