Abstract
The article analyses Nietzshes statement on the head of Dionysus in the third paragraph of his work Ecce homo with regard to the ancient mystery cult of Dionysus as well as with regard to a kind of homology between this cult and the Christianity (conf. the torn head of Dionysus and the head of decapitated John the Baptist). From this point of view Nietzsches ambivalent antithesis between Dionysos and the Crucified is discussed.
