Abstract
The study deals with West European historiography which deals with different themes of the history of the Czech Lands, it describes its current situation, main features, institutional basis, generations' representation of the researchers, its results and trends. In the introduction it deals with research of the history of the East European countries, within which the foreign researchers concentrated on the Czech history.
Then it describes the research situation in selected West European countries. In the end it concentrates on more general conclusions, based on the description, and on possibilities to intensify the interest of the West European colleges on the Czech history.
