Abstract

Phenological seasons are very different from astronomical or meteorological seasons. In phenology they are determinate by typical phenophases which are connected with weather.

It is divided into four main seasons, spring, summer, autumn and winter with three adjacent periods. We have chosen typical species, which defined particular phenology season; data were exported from CHMI and SHMI phenology database.

The indicators of phenology season onset are subsequent: pre-early spring (beginning of flowering 10 % of Common Snowdrop); early spring (beginning of flowering 10% of Wild Cherry) and early summer (beginning of flowering 10 % of Lime tree). Maps of phenology season were created by method Clidata-DEM with reference to altitude (method of local linear regression between the measured or calculated value and the digital relief model).

The part of results of phenology seasons onset: pre-early spring - Czech Republic (3rd March - 24th March), Slovak Republic - (24th February - 25th March); early spring - Czech Republic (19th April - 5th May), Slovak Republic (6th April - 25th April); early summer - Czech Republic (13th June - 4th July), Slovak Republic (12th June - 25th June).
