Challenges and contributions of the Refuge Convention

Abstract

The Refugee Convention celebrates 60 years. The article focuses on challenges which lie before the convention and on contributions of the convention to the human rights system.

One of the main today's challenges is the muss influx of refugees to the host countries, which is also one of the main problems in the European context. Then there is another important issue about interpretation: should the most favourable interpretation for a refugee be counted as the right one?
