Abstract

An attempt at revealing the constitutive motifs of understanding time that underpin the formulation of the introductory Parable of the Animal in Nietzsche's assay "On Benefit and Detriment to Life from History". It displays various ways of understanding time, the variety of which originates from deep-rooted homogeneous foundations.
