Abstract
The calibration facility for field gamma-ray spectrometers was established by the Czechoslovak Uranium Industry in Bratkovice near Pribram in 1975. It serves for calibration of portable, car-borne, airborne and logging gamma-ray spectrometers and radiometers used in geological mapping, uranium exploration and environmental studies.
Airborne and ground radiometric measurements conducted in former Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic since 1975 are levelled to calibration pads at this calibration facility. Calibration pads for portable gamma-ray spectrometers are tied to IAEA Global radioelement baseline.
As authors already reported on the conference New Knowledge and Measurements in Seismology, Engineering Geophysics and Geotechnics Ostrava 2010, the facility was moved to Stráž pod Ralskem in 2009. This report focuses on the consequential verification works and brings also experiences of the first year of operation in the new placement.
