Abstract

The aim of this project is analysis and research of the training process of the spastic sprinters class T38 (physically handicapped sportsmen) and pathology of their handicap, specifically the possibility of this analysis to find and utilize specific training methods for specific athlet in relation to his handicap. The research group for this part of research will be formed by Czech national spastic athletic representation.

The training process of the spastic sprinters (physically handicapped sportsmen) and pathology of their handicap require special training methods. This research builds on previous research (a comparative analysis of crouch start and mid-crouch start of spastic athlete).

This initial research showed necessity of adaptation of run-up position at a crouch start to the clossest performance to run-up position at the mid-crouch start, because all examined quality indicators of this start were significantly better than the indicators of the crouch start. This part of research deals with comparative analysis of crouch start and crouch start with diagonal position of arm to determine which of the options is for the spastic sprinter class T38 the closest to the optimal design described in the literature.

The video and a description of the key position of running-up was used for the comparison after crouch start and after crouch start with diagonal position of arm.
