Possibilities of graphical analysis of mortality development in the Czech and Slovak Republic in the statistical software SAS and R

Abstract

The poster introduces selected possibilities of graphical analysis of demographic data, two generally known software are used - SAS and R. Two possible methods os graphical presentation of data will be introduced - both enable to study the process in time but also according to age.

Those are the Lexis diagram (mortality surfaces) and 3-dimensional graphs. The aim of the poster is only to present these methods not to detail interpret the results.
