Abstract
A nationwide workshop with international participants (presenters and participators) has been prepared within the ELDEL project by WP2 section. It included theoretical issues of developmental dysphasia, and it dealt with the terminology transformation, as well as with the theories, by which this developmental disorder of speech is being explained.
The relationship of developmental dysphasia with specific learning disorders was examined. The workshop also drawn attention towards intervention and the organization of care of children with this developmental disorder.
Important moment of the workshop was the first information about the results of research (WP2) of developmental dysphasia in Czech population of children in preschool age and compassion of their developmental characteristics with normally developing children and with children from families with the risk of dyslexia.
