Legislation of tissue donation and procurement in the Czech Republic

Abstract

The authors describe the history and current status of legislation of tissue donation and procurement in the former Czechoslovakia and in the Czech Republic. Particular attention is paid to application of European Union Directives into the legislation of the Czech Republic and of the influence of these legislative changes on the practice of cell and tissue banking in the Czech Republic.
