Organization and surgical technique of tissue procurement as a part of multiple organ harvest

Abstract

The authors describe advantages and disadvantages of routine tissue procurement as a part of multiple organ harvest. They point out the necessity of establishing of donation programmes at the level of health institutions that serve as donor hospitals.

They deal with the methodology of determining the suitability of tissue donors and the technique of procurement of cardiovascular tissue as a part of multiple organ harvest
