Abstract
The article discusses the functions and utilization of Catholic pilgrimage sites as a unique form of Czech society's cultural heritage. It acquaints the reader with the phenomenon of religious pilgrimage and presents a brief overview of the development of pilgrimage traditions and the establishment of pilgrimage sites in Czechia, in light of their present form and the spatial distribution.
