Abstract
The review study notes that Czech universities have so far devoted most part of attention to one group of students with special needs - to the handicapped ones. Gifted and talented students remained aside the attention.
The study describes two current opinions on the relationship of the two key notions - gift and talent. For inspiration it describes the most common procedures for the care for talented pupils at the elementary and secondary schools.
The study also analyses the current care for talented students and graduates of Czech higher education facilities and states that it is not sufficient.
