Abstract

The objective of this paper is to contribute to research on the history of Czech translation studies. The paper presents an overview of translation studies themes in the early issues of the Czech periodical Slovo a slovesnost (Language and Literature) as the intellectual platforms of the Prague Linguistic Circle from 1935 to 1943
