Abstract
The main aim of this article is to present main results of marital status analysis using the multistate demographic modeling in the Czech Republic between 1993 and 2008. First of all, a history of using multistate demographic modelling will be presented.
Furthermore, short introduction to multistate demography theory will be made. Finally, main results of analysis will be stated.
Between other outcomes, life expectancies according to marital status, probabilities of transition between different marital statuses and mean ages of first and other marriage, divorce and widowhood will be presented.
