Abstract
This paper focuses on the impact of HIV/AIDS on natality and fertility in South Africa. The impact of HIV/AIDS is noticeable from the comparison of the levels of these demographic processes between HIV positive and negative women and is further assessed using the decomposition methods.
The results of analysis revealed the exceptional position of South Africa between other African countries that suffer from HIV/AIDS as well.
