Importance of ABGB (Austrian Civil Code) for present Czech private law - ABGB as a model for the new Czech Civil Code?

Abstrakt

The study describes the impact of the ABGB on Czech private law in its history since 1918 until the present time. It shows that the ABGB influenced even the socialist civil law, particularly in property law, in the general part of the Civil Code and in other areas.

It also shows the mistakes at the introduction of the old fashion rules of ABGB in the new Czech Civil Code.
